What is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic therapy is a holistic approach that aims to integrate body and mind, fostering an overall sense of well-being. This therapeutic method acknowledges how lived experiences are held in the body, guiding you to tune in and understand your sensations and feelings on a deeper level.
By exploring the connection between our nervous system, emotions, and physical sensations, somatic therapy allows us to access a deeper knowing, uncovering layers of ourself that might not be reachable through words alone.
This approach uses a variety of tools to cultivate body awareness, including breathing exercises, meditation, and movement practices. It also incorporates techniques designed to help regulate emotions, nurture self-compassion, and cultivate resilience.
My Approach
I practice somatic therapy from a relational perspective, supporting my clients in reconnecting with their bodies and thriving in all dimensions of their relationships. My approach is rooted in connection and secure attachment, helping foster a safe space for embodied awareness and exploration.
Together, we can explore through somatic therapy:
Intimacy and relationships
Sexuality and desire
Stress management
Communication skills
Emotional regulation
Confidence and self-esteem

Please note: These sessions offer support, guidance, and education to promote personal and relational well-being in individuals who are not experiencing distress or suffering. Somatic therapy is not a form of medical care or psychotherapy; it does not include diagnosis or treatment and should not be considered a replacement for such services.
